Thinking Of A Career In Real Estate
Thinking of your next move and wondering if
a career in Real Estate is right for you?
12 years ago I purchased a home and the transaction went so smoothly, I thought "maybe I could do this someday". Up until that time, I had a very lucrative business as a graphic designer for over 2 decades. It had been fun, challenging, and yet I knew I couldn't do it for the rest of my life. Health problems from sitting at a desk for hrs on end were just one reason, and the world was changing. I had children at home, and needed to be more flexible with their imposing schedules. I looked for something that I could do that would get me in front of people, away from an office, was challenging, and one that I would never "age out".
That's when I realized that a career in Real Estate was for me.
Licensed in 2 states now, I've seen the best and the worst markets, and I'm still going strong - building a team and determining my own wealth daily! A career in Real Estate can be challenging for sure. Flexibility can also be the evil for those who are not motivated to treat this as a career, and yet the financial rewards can be beyond anything one could ever dream of from a "9-5" position. Its not easy (nothing is that's worth anything!) Be prepared for long hours. Structure is key - Dedication a must. You will be rewarded BIG TIME both in the ability to create a Business worth having, and a Life worth living!
